HOD
From the HOD's Desk:

Greetings from the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering!
Our department strives to nurture technically competent, research-oriented, and socially responsible engineers who can contribute meaningfully to the rapidly evolving domains of communication systems, embedded design, digital electronics, and intelligent networks.
We provide a strong academic foundation in core areas such as signal processing, embedded systems, digital communication, VLSI design, RF engineering, and networking. In alignment with industry and global technological evolution, our curriculum is continuously updated to integrate emerging technologies including 5G communications, the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning for signal processing, software-defined radio (SDR) and cognitive radio.
Our highly qualified and research-driven faculty members, many of whom hold doctoral degrees, actively engage in publications, patents, consultancy, and collaborative research. Their expertise encompasses diverse fields such as wireless and 6G communication, signal and image processing, VLSI and embedded systems, antenna and microwave design, satellite and optical communication, and AI/ML integration in communication systems.
The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories featuring industry-grade tools such as MATLAB, Cadence with AWR and 5G testbeds, enabling students to bridge theoretical learning with real-world applications.
To ensure holistic development, we complement academic excellence with value-added courses, skill enhancement programs, and technical clubs, hackathons, and industry interactions through professional bodies like IEEE, IETE, and ISTE. These initiatives empower students to become innovators, entrepreneurs, and ethical professionals ready to meet global challenges.
Our department is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation, and remains confident in its ability to adapt, evolve, and lead in the field of modern communication technologies.
