Blood Donation Camp
The Department of ISE& NSS -DSCE organized a Blood Donation Camp on 5th December 2025 at the Department of ISE, DSCE, Bengaluru, in collaboration with Sagar Hospitals. The event aimed to encourage voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about its life-saving importance. Students, faculty, and volunteers actively participated in the camp, contributing to a noble cause and reinforcing the values of social responsibility and community service.
Plantation at Govt. School
The Department of Bio Technology &Chemical Engineering, in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS)DSCE wing organized a tree plantation drive on 29th September 2025 at Kempegowda Government Higher Primary School, Kumaraswamy Layout, Bengaluru. The Department of Biotechnology also joined in support of this green initiative, which aimed to foster environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices among students. The program reflected the collective commitment of the departments to extend classroom learning into meaningful community engagement and environmental stewardship.
Awareness programme on CO-Existence,Zonotic Diseases & Animal Behaviour
Shree Keerthikumar, Kannada Film actor, Runner of Big Boss reality show on Zee Kannada Channel and Shree Channappa Huddar, Kannada Film Actor, Winner of Sa Re Ga Ma, Music champion show on Zee Kannda, were Chief Guests for the Program and the program was started with procession in the college premises along with chief guests followed by flag hoisting. Various competitions were conducted prior to the day of celebration viz. debate, quiz, singing etc. The Rajyothsava program was conducted at Dr. Premachandra Sagar Auditorium. The program started with inauguration followed by speeches by Chief Guest’s, Principal and Secretary. Various cultural programs were conducted and the event was concluded by valedictory program.

As part of the Nasha Muktha Bharat Abhiyaan, on 14th Aug 2025, Dr. Deepa H A, the NSS Department Coordinator, Department of Chemical Engineering, DSCE, organized a pledge-taking activity involving 7th semester students of the department. The pledge was undertaken to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to educate the youth on the importance of staying away from addictive substances.
Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign
The Har Ghar Tiranga(Tricolour in Every Home) campaign, launched by the Indian government under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, encourages every Indian to hoist the national flag at their homes from August 13-15 to foster patriotism and a personal connection with the flag, transforming it from a formal symbol to a heartfelt emblem of unity and national pride, with participation from citizens, organizations, and e-commerce platforms to ensure widespread celebration.
7 Days Special Camp
The Function was inaugurated by Sri Shivamada Naik, Punchayath Development officer Chiloor Grama Panchayath, NSS Program officers and NSS Volunteer Team DSCE by Lighting the Lamp. Initial visit was to the Government Lower Primary School, Road Jakkasandra. NSS volunteers conducted activities and games to engage the students. Panchayat and NSS representatives spoke about the importance of education in a person’s life, and encouraged the students to pursue their ambitions.
Essential Health and Hygiene Practices
The objective of the program was to educate and raise awareness about essential health and hygiene practices, the importance of a balanced diet, and preventive healthcare measures to ensure overall well- being.
Waste Management Awareness and Action Drive
The primary objective of the Waste Management Awareness Rally was to educate the public on the importance of proper waste management practices such as segregation, recycling, and composting.
